Bei einem Workshop mit dem international bekannten Architekturfotografen Gordon Watkinson bot der Verein Bahnprojekt Stuttgart-Ulm e.V. 20 Schülerinnen und Schüler des Wilhelms-Gymnasiums und des Königin-Olga-Stifts die Möglichkeit ihre fotografischen Fähigkeiten zu vertiefen und ihre Sicht auf das Bahnprojekt darzustellen und sich somit zeitgleich mit dem Bahnprojekt auseinanderzusetzen.

Bauhaus twenty-21: An Ongoing Legacy -- Photographs by Gordon Watkinson will be on display at the Art Museum of The University of Memphis, September 21, 2013, through January 4, 2014. The catalogue is published by Birkhäuser Verlag, Basel. 

Conceived as a multidisciplinary project encompassing architecture, design, and photography, Bauhaus twenty-21 not only conveys the architectural history, but also illustrates the enduring philosophies of the Bauhaus. The exhibition, by creating a visual as well as theoretical dialogue between the timeless modernism of Bauhaus architecture and the visions of contemporary practitioners, offers a unique perspective on Bauhaus design philosophy as it relates to architecture and its relevance in today's society.

A multidisciplinary project that encompasses architecture, design and photography, "Bauhaus twenty-21" examines the enduring achievements of the Staatliches Bauhaus, from the origins of the school in Weimar to its closing in Berlin in 1933. The exhibition features the work of contemporary artist Gordon Watkinson, who documented 12 of the most significant examples of Bauhaus architecture in more than 100 photographs. Gordon Watkinson has spent the past 16 years working as a commercial photographer for a broad range of clients from the fields of advertising, architecture, design, and fashion.
